Enjoyed the continuing saga especially the interaction between the spanish speaking and non-spanish speaking communities. The H and h were not particularly interesting to me.
If you want strong flawed lead characters, this book is great. She has created 2 solid people who need someone to balance them. The romance and story is a spellbinding solid read that will hold your attention beyond the end.
I've read "Summer Chaparral", "Autumn Sage" and "The Sheriff Takes a Bride" so far and this one is my favorite of the series. What makes this book for me is the sexual tension between the two main characters. The quirky dimensionally of the two main characters is endearing. Plus, I really enjoy the historic southern California backdrop of the whole series.

As an added bonus this series are the first romance novels I've read that improved my vocabulary. These books could be used as novel approach to GRE studying.
A very in-depth book, but worth the time & effort! Very well-written & seemed accurate for the time period represented.
First book I've read by this author. This one ends abruptly so I bought the next in the series. Liked the setting and characters, with enough suspense to keep it interesting.
Slow is not the same as full of boring, but still drawn out. I did enjoy reading this and the ending made the rest well worth getting through, I look forward to reading more of this series.
Great reading. A saga about a family that had secrets from their children as they made their way to a successful ranch after being displaced by the American injustice to the way things were used to strip honor and lands from the Spanish families.
